Neither Sleet Nor Snow Kept this Buyer at Bay
They say every cloud has a silver lining, and I believe it! We had a little snow here in Russellville today, and the first thought that popped into my head was that there was one less selling day left in the year. Real estate and bad weather just don’t go together, but that wasn’t the case.
The schools were closed today, and a teacher who would normally be working, called me to check out some houses that she and her family wanted to see. One just never knows what each day will bring.
We first looked at an older home in Brookview that didn’t really seem to catch their eye. I explained to them that finding the perfect home is very similar to falling in love. That they’d know within the first three steps that it’s the home for them. With that in mind, I encouraged them to look at some new homes in Magnolia Ridge just North of Russellville.
The first home we looked at in Magnolia Ridge is about 60 days away from being finished, slightly larger than the first, with a wide open floor plan. The buyers liked the fact that they would be able to pick out the paint colors, cabinets, appliances, etc. They also seemed very interested in the energy efficient features these homes had to offer. The second home we looked at in Magnolia Ridge is essentially complete. This home features light wood floors, natural maple cabinets with a chocolate glaze, and large bedrooms. While this home is slightly smaller than the first, it’s also priced $20,000 less!
They seemed to really like the homes I showed them in Magnolia Ridge. We’re going to look again tomorrow. I can’t wait to help them find their perfect home.
